Lately my are of interest has been Escapism. Primarily because I’ve fallen to its symptoms. It seems like human nature to escape. Everything in nature escapes. Heat escapes imbalance to reach equilibrium. Preys escape from predators.
Escapism has many forms. It’s evident in society in large quantities. Let’s face it: This lifestyle is stressful. The lifestyle capitalism enforces on us. How do we escape? Music, movies, eating, games, books.
Ironic isn’t it? Capitalism benefits from our escape from it. I sometimes laugh at this irony.
Problem is people nowadays hardly make the theory of idealism exist. No one cares. Ideas are hard to come up with for most people, they just do what they’re told or how they’re ‘brought up’. I get depressed on the state the world’s in today.
Let’s share the beauty of philosophy. Think everyday and encourage people to think. That may be the only way to make the world a better place :).

Different ways at looking at things, different resolves and different ideologies, all based on the ‘discoveries’ that we’ve made about the world around us. No discovery is more true than another, they’re all circumstancial to each one of us and define the […]

I’ve been doing IB (which is a back breaker), and have recently moved to Canada. Things have been hectic. Fox on the other hand, has recently finished […]
